I’ve been planning on starting a podcast for quite some time. But up until now, I just haven’t had the time and patience to really dedicate myself to the creative process.
It was really just a matter of sitting down at the microphone and pressing record, but it was difficult to find the confidence to do so. I’ve always been a writer – much more so than a speaker. So learning to project my voice and not stumble over my words will surely be a work in progress.
With that being said, I’m very excited to begin this project. I plan to interview a wide variety of guests from various backgrounds, professions and cultures. I want to have brutally honest and educational conversations about travel, culture, geopolitics and much more. But I also want to have a damn good time!
This inaugural episode simply serves as an introduction to me as a traveler and a journalist. It also seeks to explain my motivation and reasoning for starting a travel podcast.
It’s a little rough around the edges. Forgive me if the sound quality isn’t perfect. I’m still working out the kinks when it comes to my audio production software.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Feel free to leave any suggestions, comments or criticisms you may have in the comment box below!
